Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a saucepan over medium heat, cook the sliced apples with half of the sugar until soft and caramelized, about 5-7 minutes.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, remaining sugar, yogurt, vanilla extract, salt, and cinnamon until smooth.
- Pour the egg mixture over the caramelized apples in the baking dish.
Baking
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes or until the flan is set and lightly golden on top.
- Let it cool to room temperature before refrigerating.
- Chill for at least 2 hours before serving.
Notes
Store the flan in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days or freeze it wrapped for up to 2 months. Thaw overnight in the fridge before serving. Serve slices garnished with cinnamon or apple slices for flair.
