Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Prepare a baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the sliced apples, sugar, and cinnamon. Toss until the apples are evenly coated.
- Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface. Cut it into squares or rectangles, about 4x4 inches.
- Place a spoonful of the apple mixture in the center of each pastry square.
- Fold the corners of the pastry over the apple filling, creating a parcel. Pinch the edges to seal.
Baking
- Brush the tops of the rolls with the beaten egg to give them a golden color.
- Place the rolls on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed up.
Serving
- Allow to cool slightly before dusting with powdered sugar, if desired.
Notes
Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream. Best enjoyed fresh. Can be stored for up to 2 days at room temperature or frozen for up to 1 month.
